Our Ingredients
HAVEN products are made of some of the finest natural ingredients available, ingredients that have been hard at work in households for generations. We believe in organic agriculture and buy each ingredient in support of it, so everything works and smells just like Nature intended it. Making the small but significant choice to say no to toxic chemicals in your products will not only improve the health of your home but ensure the health of our planet.
Biodegradable, never tested on animals and free of phosphates, sulfates, parabens and petroleum-derived ingredients, HAVEN products are some of the purest around. Our ingredients may not need an introduction but, hey, we'll do it anyway!
Baking Soda
Baking Soda is one of the hardest-working yet most gentle ingredients out there. Extracted from the deposits of mineralized sodium bicarbonate using a natural, chemical-free water process, the baking soda we use is Aluminum-Free, Gluten-Free and Kosher.
Castile Soap
Our multi-purpose hand and dish soap is a Castile soap, made with a blend of organic olive, coconut and jojoba oils. “Castile” refers to a region of Spain called La Castilla, a place of significance to the history of soap-making, and refers to a soap that’s made in whole or in part with saponified olive oil. Our Castile soap is gentle, highly effective and contains no artificial colors, fragrances, preservatives or animal by-products. It's also infused with gentle, natural moisturizers for healthy skin.

Citric Acid
Citric Acid is the natural organic acid created from crude fruit sugars, which are especially concentrated in lemons and limes. It grabs minerals in hard water and stops them from interfering with soap, so it makes a wonderful addition to cleansers. It also acts as a preservative and antioxidant.
Coconut Oil
We use 100% certified organic, raw Coconut oil that has incredible polishing and moisturizing capabilities, adding shine and luster to just about any surface.
Tartaric Acid
Also known as Cream of Tartar, this substance is well-known to the baker but is actually an amazing cleanser and natural bleaching agent. It's a by-product of winemaking and grapes are the only significant natural source of the acid. It’s useful in a variety of different cleaning applications and removes mineral deposits and rust. It’s also great for brightening metals. Fun fact: Cream of Tartar was found in Iranian clay wine jugs that were used over 7,000 years ago!
Essential Oils
We never utilize synthetic scents. HAVEN products use only the best organic essential oils made without additives or impurities. Our scents are the very essence of the herbs, flowers and fruits they're made of. We also utilize essential oils that are considered safe for children, safe to use during pregnancy and non-toxic for your furry friends.
Grapefruit Seed Extract
The Grapefruit Seed Extract we use is made from the pulp and seeds of Organic grapefruits. It's a wonderful preservative, antimicrobial and anti-fungal solution. Each batch of the extract is tested to insure the absence of chemicals, pesticides, heavy metals and Triclosan.
Lemon Juice
The lemon juice we use in our products is so good, you'd use it to make lemonade! USDA Certified Organic. 100% juice. Not from concentrate.
Vegetable Glycerine
Our non-GMO, food safe Vegetable Glycerine is a by-product of soap making and has a variety of uses. A clear, odorless syrup, it’s actually used as a sugar substitute in many types of food. In addition to being a great natural solvent, it’s also a humectant, drawing moisture to the skin and helping protect it against drying.
Vitamin E
We never use synthetic Vitamin E, only the purest natural source without any additives. It's a great antioxidant and moisturizer. Simple as that.
Witch Hazel
Witch Hazel is one of our favorite botanical ingredients. Distilled from the twigs and bark of the Witch Hazel tree, its herbaceous, cleansing scent and antiseptic properties make it an excellent addition to our products. The blend we use is more than twice the power of most commercial brands and is an antiseptic, antimicrobial, antibacterial and antifungal.
Sea Salt
Another ancient ingredient with loads of applications, salt is a natural germ-killing antiseptic. We use it in our SCRUB to boost the power of the natural acids. Our salt is pure Atlantic sea salt with no additives or anti-caking agents. Obtained via solar evaporation in an area free of pollution.
Our Packaging
Decreasing plastic consumption and sourcing sustainable packaging is the key to the HAVEN product line. Our high-quality bottles, closures and jars are sturdy and made to hold up to lots of reuse, so we sell sustainably packaged refills for each product to help you cut your overall consumption. We're committed to sourcing as much 100% recycled plastic as possible and are always on the lookout for ways to make our packaging even more Earth-friendly.
We ship using all recycled or gently used packaging.
Bottles (Plastic)
Nearly all of our plastic amber bottles are made from 100% recycled PET plastic, called post-consumer resin (PCR). Our 32 ounce bottle is the only one from our line that's virgin PET plastic, which is why we pair them with high-end spray nozzles and encourage you to reuse them by refilling with our concentrate formulas. In the meantime, we're searching diligently for a PCR alternative!
Bottles (Glass)
Our gorgeous amber glass soap bottles are meant to be by your sinks for a good, long time. We use amber bottles that are 40% recycled glass and we'll always be searching to improve that number, with the goal to ultimately find a 100% recycled version. Refill these beautiful bottles with our wonderful soap and cut your plastic consumption drastically.
Kraft Bags (Biodegradable & Compostable)
Our SCRUB refills are packaged in recycled kraft paper bags lined with biodegradable cellulose. Remove labels and tin tie before composting.
Metal Dispenser Tops
We've paired our amber glass bottles with beautiful, well-built hardware so you can get years of use out them. Between the gravity weighted gold pour spout and brushed copper hand pump, our dispensers look as good as they work.
Nozzles & Caps
We pair our bottles with one of the highest quality spray nozzles on the market, so they're built for lots of reuse. With a hefty output per spritz, they make cleaning quicker and more effective. Our bottle caps are metal and lined with foil.
